I spent over 30 years in traditional broadcast radio and audio/video production from Charlotte to Knoxville, TN.  While in Tennessee our morning radio show was one of the first in the country to live video stream on a regular basis. When I moved back to my hometown of Lincolnton I noticed that nobody in town was live streaming or producing quality video about our great little town. Traditional newspapers and radio (especially in small towns like ours) continue to fade away. Larger media outlets from Charlotte focus on more densely populated areas for ratings purposes.  Social media sites have all but replaced what used to be a vital source of information and entertainment. We created Lincolnton Live with the purpose of showcasing local folks and what goes on in our town.
